Requirements for DGCA ATPL Training

Minimum Age

Candidates who are 21 years of age are eligible for ATPL.

Minimum Requirement

To be eligible for ATPL training in Bangalore, the candidate must have a valid CPL issued in India.

Proficiency in English Language

In order to pursue DGCA ground classes for ATPL, candidates should be able to understand, read and write in English.

Medical Fitness for DGCA ATPL Pilot Training

All candidates who wish to pursue pilot training must be proven medically fit. The assessment includes

Class 1 Medicals: The Class 1 medical assessment is mandatory for candidates to be eligible for ATPL. For the Class 1 medical examination by a DGCA-approved medical examiner, the candidates must provide the following documents

  1. Valid passport or national identity card
  2. Two recent passport-size photographs
  3. Medical history form
  4. Attested copies of educational and professional qualifications
  5. Attested copy of the valid pilot licence
  6. Attested copy of the valid medical certificate
  7. Attested copy of the valid medical fitness certificate
  8. Attested copy of the valid aviation medical examiner certificate
  9. Attested copies of the valid permits/endorsements
  10. Attested copy of the valid medical records

Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) Programme

  • 200 HOURS AS PIC FOR CROSS-COUNTRY FLYING
  • 50 HOURS AS PIC FOR NIGHT FLYING
  • 1000 HOURS MINIMUM CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT TIME
  • 100 HOURS MINIMUM NIGHT FLYING
  • 100 HOURS MINIMUM INSTRUMENT TIME
  • 10 HOURS MINIMUM FLIGHT TIME IN LAST 6 MONTHS
  • VALID INSTRUMENT RATING
