The theory papers for DGCA CPL include:

  • Air Regulations : This paper includes all the topics related to Aerodrome Search and Rescue, Rules and Regulations, Customs and Health, knowledge of Communication and Navigational Facilities.
  • Aviation Meteorology : The topics for this paper are Basic knowledge of Aviation, Weather Codes and Plotting, and Eleemtry Synoptic Meteorology, which includes simple weather interpretation of weather charts and other meteorological interpretations related to aviation.
  • Air Navigation : This paper consists of all the topics related to theoretical and practical navigation.
  • Technical General : This paper is all about Aircraft and Engines and hence covers a wide range of topics which include General Principles and Elementary Knowledge of Design, Construction, Maintenance and Operation of Aircraft, Engines and Instruments, Ancillary Systems, Emergency Systems, Installations and equipment, Basic Knowledge of Fuel and Lubricants, Loading of Aircraft, Weight Distribution and its effect on Flight Characteristics.
  • Technical Specific : In this paper, you will learn about a specific aircraft and all its features like Limitations, Aircraft Engines and Systems Weight, Balance and Performance.

DGCA conducts PPL theory exams for all subjects four times a year.

Flight Training
